What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to patients' wellbeing. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver nursing care taking account of patient choice and wishes, acting as the patient's named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess need and evaluate progress. Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient condition and needs.
  • Deal proactively with suggestions and complaints from patients and families.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months post-registration experience, holding active NMC registration and having completed a preceptorship programme. They will have a strong understanding of NMC guidelines, evidence of ongoing CPD, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Minimum six months post-registration experience in Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment. Candidates must hold a full driving license.
