This is an opportunity for 1 full-time (37.5 hrs) role, the post holder must be qualified and be registered with the HCPC.
Set in spacious and relaxing grounds, [Employer hidden] Hospital Middleton St George, located in Darlington, County Durham, is a specialist inpatient service for adults with mental health issues, complex needs and behaviours that challenge.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will manage your own caseload as well as contributing to the Central Activity Programme which focuses on Vocational Rehabilitation. You will also work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team on a designated ward as well as within the Occupational Therapy team. The Model of Human Occupation is embedded into the service provided at Middleton St George, and OT’s utilise corresponding assessment tools accordingly. You will receive monthly clinical supervision as well as bi-monthly management supervision. To provide clinical, professional and operational leadership to the Occupational Therapy (OT) service, working in collaboration with Therapy Services Manager to ensure Occupational Therapy services are proactive and supportive of [Employer hidden] objectives.
- To work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues across the hospital site to support integration around patient care.
- To deliver a highly specialised and advanced standard of OT assessment, treatment and management for patients.
This role will be focused upon developing and maintaining productive and stable relationships with patients, staff and others through effective communication, coaching and highly developed interpersonal skills.
