What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Provide high-quality medical care to inpatients, including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of psychiatric conditions.
- Support the Responsible Clinician and multidisciplinary team in delivering effective, patient-centred treatment plans.
- Conduct regular ward rounds, risk assessments, and clinical reviews, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Participate in Mental Health Act processes, including assessments, reports, and tribunals where appropriate.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practice.
What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The successful candidate will hold full GMC registration and have experience working within psychiatry, ideally in an inpatient or hospital setting. They will demonstrate strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, a good understanding of the Mental Health Act, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
