What you'll be doing
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Chef to plan, prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals within our [Employer hidden] unit. You will play a key role in ensuring all catering activities meet operational standards and comply with statutory regulations.
- Plan and deliver all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring meals meet dietary and nutritional requirements.
- Prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Supervise catering support staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Maintain compliance with ‘Assured Safe Catering’ policies and all relevant regulations.
- Manage stock ordering and rotation efficiently to minimise waste and control costs.
- Create varied, nutritious, and appealing menus that support healthy eating and meet specific dietary needs.
- Monitor and manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality ingredients.
- Work closely with the line manager to deliver best value while maintaining excellent standards.
