Position Overview

Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Company Rep. Reporting to the Drilling Superintendent, the Company Representative is Ithaca Energy's senior offshore wells representative, with single-point accountability for the safe, compliant and efficient execution of drilling, completion, workover and abandonment operations. Leading the offshore team and service providers, the role acts as the primary interface between the rig and the onshore wells organisation, ensuring programmes are delivered to plan while driving strong HSE leadership, operational discipline and continuous performance improvement. The position requires direct supervision of wellsite activities, robust risk management, clear operational control through approved work instructions, and accurate reporting throughout the well lifecycle. Success in the role is defined by excellence in safety performance, regulatory compliance, cost control, data integrity and effective team leadership.

Key Skills

  • Strong HSE leadership with a demonstrated commitment to safe, compliant offshore operations
  • Proven ability to lead and influence multi-disciplinary offshore teams and third-party service providers
  • Excellent understanding of drilling, completions, workover and abandonment operations
  • Robust operational judgement with the confidence to challenge, intervene and stop work where required
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including preparation and control of work instructions
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to act as the interface between rig, onshore teams and emergency response
  • Experience managing SIMOPS/COMOPS and complex operational interfaces
  • Cost- and performance-focused, with proven experience controlling rig-site expenditure
  • High standard of written reporting and operational data integrity
  • Proactive mindset toward lessons learned, continuous improvement and performance optimisation

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive offshore experience in drilling, completion, workover or P&A operations, preferably in the UKCS
  • Prior experience as an Offshore Company Representative, Wellsite Supervisor or equivalent senior offshore role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK statutory requirements and offshore regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience applying Risk Assessment and Management of Change (MoC) processes
  • Fully conversant with Emergency Response, Well Control and Oil Spill Contingency Plans
  • Familiarity with formal Well Management Systems, work instruction RACI models and permit-to-work systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Drilling Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or similar (preferred) or vocational training with extensive experience in well engineering and site supervision, with proven track record.
  • Valid IWCF Well Control Level 4
  • Valid BOSIET & HUET (inc. escape chute)
