This role combines people management, project management, and Agile practices to develop engineering talent, manage cross-team dependencies, and deliver high-quality SaaS applications.

Core Responsibilities

  • AI & Data Science Product Development: Lead projects that surface Data Science model outputs and GenAI capabilities into product features.
  • AI Tooling & Adoption: Champion the adoption of AI tools and practices within the team.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Own end to end project delivery.
  • Team Development & Mentorship: Invest in your team members.
  • Agile Process Ownership: Serve as the Agile champion for your team.
  • Stakeholder & Dependency Management: Build relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Technical Roadmap Ownership: Partner with the team Architect on technical direction.
  • Engineering & Operational Excellence: Drive engineering best practices.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and guide the performance of your team members.

Technical Requirements

  • Full Stack SaaS Understanding
  • API Integration Experience
  • GenAI Development Expertise
  • Machine Learning & Data Science Knowledge
  • Data Platform Familiarity (Snowflake etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Stack: TypeScript, Svelte, Node.js/Nest.js, AWS, Infrastructure as Code
  • Agile Tooling: Jira

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years as an engineering manager in a SaaS environment
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology
  • Proven experience working with data teams
  • Comfortable with on-call responsibilities
  • Proven track record of effective team leadership
  • Strategic mindset and analytical skills
