Summary

Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role here at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Head Office working within the Womenswear Design team. Working Pattern: Full time, 12 month fixed term contract based at ‘The Barn’ - [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Typical hours 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, onsite.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and assist the Designer/Senior Designer in developing, progressing & managing a profitable department across stores and online.
  • Prepare for Design meetings, racking up product and preparing mood and research boards.
  • Drive the creation of trends appropriate to the season and end use.
  • Contribute to decision-making with inspirational images and/or samples.
  • Prepare and present seasonal Touch Point & CAD presentations for specific product areas.
  • Take ownership of updating Commodity & Capsule.
  • Analyse weekly line performance reports and take necessary action.
  • Use analysis from Merchandising team to inform future product development.
  • Prepare for and attend sign-off meetings with senior management.
  • Attend fit sessions ensuring artwork, garment fit and embellishment are correct.
  • Proactively drive research and inspiration through competitor shops, fashion blogs and trend resources.
  • Ensure samples are ready with correct information/CADS alongside the Buying Team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Degree or relevant qualification in Fashion Garment Design.
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
  • Experience working within a design room of a supplier or retailer.
  • Experience working with embellishment and/or embroidery.
  • Experience in creating design packs/BOM’s.
  • Strong Cad/Illustrator skills.
  • Demonstrable technical garment/fabric knowledge.
  • Accountability to deliver within role and drive results.
  • Proactive, vibrant and spirited, rises to challenges.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Thinks above and beyond role.
