Management Accountant | One Month FTC

£23ph | 1 Month FTC | Office Based

Location: Dock Road, Lytham

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a One month fixed term contract. This is a hands on role focused on bringing management accounts up to date, improving data accuracy, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting across the group.

You will play a key role in reconciling underlying records with the SAGE finance system, resolving historical discrepancies and preparing detailed monthly management accounts to support year-end audit preparation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and correcting month-end journals
  • Carrying out detailed analysis of all profit and loss accounts
  • Producing monthly reporting packs for group companies, including clear commentary on key variances to budget
  • Reconciling all balance sheet accounts and escalating issues to the FP&A team, Financial Controller or Finance Director
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the fixed asset register
  • Reconciling intercompany accounts
  • Cleaning up the purchase ledger
  • Delivering accurate sales reporting and analysis
  • Following company Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) at all times
  • Supporting with ad-hoc finance tasks as required

What we’re looking for

Experience & qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar Management Accountant role
  • Studying towards ACCA or CIMA (part-qualified)
  • Previous experience using Sage 200 (desirable)

  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
