Machine Setter

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a skilled Machine Setter to join the production team at the Swadlincote site. This permanent role involves setting up automated machinery, diagnosing breakdowns, and ensuring high-quality production of cementitious products. The role offers rotating shifts and an excellent salary with bonus and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automated machinery in line with production requirements
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Produce high-quality cementitious products to customer specifications
  • Complete daily machinery checks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Manage machine-specific maintenance schedules and performance reporting
  • Support mobile fitting teams with fault diagnosis and planned maintenance
  • Oversee inventory of critical spares and ensure on-shelf availability

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar machine setting or maintenance role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge within a production or manufacturing setting
  • A results-driven approach with attention to quality and detail
  • Ability to meet production targets and adhere to Health & Safety regulations
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
