Joining our team as a Finance Analyst for the Cement and Lime business, you will be entitled to a highly competitive basic salary and a great range of benefits.

Reporting to the National Finance Manager for Cement and Lime, you will play a key role within the Cement and Lime Finance team. The role is responsible for delivering and supporting the monthly and ad-hoc reporting of the Cement & Lime business unit results. You will provide management information and insight to the Cement and Lime BU. A significant proportion of the role is non-routine, meaning that you will need to be highly flexible, pro-active, efficient and responsive.

  • Capex reporting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project allocations and spend
  • IFRS 16 Leasing reporting for the Cement & Lime BU, whilst playing an active role for any changes within the BU leasing database
  • Ensure the timely, accurate and effective reporting of Cement & Lime BU’s financial performance, delivering results through various company reporting channels
  • Analysing and reporting the consolidated balance sheet and cash flow statement for the Cement & lime BU, providing commentary for key variances and trends
  • Support in managing the business planning cycle (budgeting and forecasting) across the BU and delivering quality and timely submissions
  • Support in championing the Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) control environment across the Cement & Lime BU
  • Project Lead for ad hoc finance projects that impact across the BU
  • Provide cover and deputise for National CLP Finance manager when required

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Qualified in, or studying towards, a Professional Accounting qualification

Experience:

  • Essential: Strong technical financial knowledge
  • Preferred: Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP, BW, HFM and EXQL financial systems
  • Preferred: Experience in a SOx controls environment

Skills:

  • Good financial accounting and analysis background, with relevant technical skills
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to identify and drive process change and improvement
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and communication skill
