The Role

We have a vacancy for a senior Group Leader role based within the QIB Gut Microbes and Health Institute Strategic Programme to deliver scientific excellence and social and economic impact in microbiome research with a focus on using multidisciplinary approaches to investigate mechanisms, pathways and outcomes of gut microbe interactions with the brain during healthy ageing, and in age-associated diseases. The position comes with research and administrative support. Tenure is available for senior appointees. The Ideal Candidate

  • PhD
  • Significant experience of leading and developing a successful research programme and research teams
  • Strong publication record in field
  • Experience of securing research funding

Additional Information

This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours per week and is initially for a contract up to 31st March 2023. All applicants should include a CV, covering letter and a one page description of the research programme they would undertake if appointed, that covers the period up until the end of the current ISP Grant (31/03/23), providing details of the aims, objectives, approach, strategic relevance and impact.
