Laboratory Technician
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Technical Support Team in Norwich, UK. Salary: £22,000 to £26,750 per annum. Contract: Permanent, full time. Applications close 30 November 2023.
Background
The Technical Support Team is part of QIB Science Operations which helps enable scientific research project work.
The Role
The post holder will provide a high standard of technical support to academic and research staff at the Quadram Institute. Responsibilities include maintaining working areas following protocols and good laboratory practice, supporting busy research laboratories, general housekeeping, glassware handling, media preparation, stock management, and providing core service support with key health and safety duties. The post holder may occasionally need to work out of hours/weekends.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential qualifications: at least 3 A-levels or equivalent, GCSEs in Maths, English and Science. The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, able to work independently with excellent teamwork and communication skills. Recent experience in a multiuser biological research laboratory is essential.
Additional Information
Salary: £22,000 to £26,750 per annum. Full-time, indefinite basis. This post does not meet UKVI requirements for visa sponsorship.
