Deputy ISP Leader (Food, Microbiome, Health)

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Deputy ISP Leader for its Food, Microbiome, Health strategic programme. This is a senior leadership role based at the Norwich Research Park.

Background

The [Employer hidden] undertakes research in gut health, microbiology, food, and food safety. We are recruiting an established researcher to develop a programme in Food, Microbiome and Health, investigating how foods and microbes interact to promote health and prevent disease. The candidate will exploit resources within [Employer hidden] Bioscience and help establish the institute as a leader in this field.

The Role

The post holder will contribute to achieving the [Employer hidden]'s research aims, including understanding food structure and nutrition, the role of the microbiome in human health, and how dietary changes affect microbial responses in the human gut. The role involves leading in vitro and in vivo model systems, food structure analysis, microbiology, imaging, microbiomics, bioinformatics, and metabolomics. The post holder will also act as deputy to the current head of the Institute Strategic Programme. A significant support package, competitive salary, and relocation package are available.
