Background
The Executive Support Assistant will be part of the Administrative Support team within the Directorate, with a particular focus on the Microbes in the Food Chain Programme supporting the Leader and Deputy Leader. The Microbes in the Food Chain Programme focuses on how we can reduce microbial pathogens in the food chain, and prevent the emergence of antimicrobial resistance.
The Role
- Providing administrative support to the Programme Leader, Deputy Leader, Research Leaders and their groups
- Diary management
- Organisation and coordination of internal and external meetings
- Arranging travel and conference attendance within the UK and abroad
- Taking minutes at internal and external meetings
- Liaising with external visitors, seminar speakers, coordinating workshops and events
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, applicants should have at least 5 GCSEs grades A*-C, or equivalent. They should also possess excellent organisation and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes. Experience of minute taking and diary management is essential.
Additional Information
Salary on appointment will be within the range £25,568 to £31,384 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time post available until 31st March 2023.
