[Employer hidden] is hiring a Finance Placement intern to join their Operational Finance team in Belfast. This is a full-time, hybrid role with three set days in the Belfast office. The placement offers hands-on experience in accounts payable, receivable, month-end reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and AI-driven projects.

Your Team
This placement sits within [Employer hidden]'s Finance function, specifically Operational Finance. The team works with stakeholders across Supply Chain, SLT, and shareholders. As a Finance Associate on placement, you'll get hands-on experience in accounts payable/receivable, invoice management, payrun set-up, and monthly management accounts.
What You'll Do
- Own core accounts payable end to end using Payhawk, Xero, and approval workflows.
- Own accounts receivable process – raising/sending invoices, chasing payments.
- Contribute to monthly management accounts – cost data, variance commentary.
- Act as key finance contact for cross-functional teams (e.g. Supply Chain).
- Support quarterly and annual audit tasks and ad hoc analysis.
- Get hands-on with AI-powered projects using Claude and Notion.
You'll Succeed With
- Studying a STEM, Finance, or Accounting degree with data/quantitative modules.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
- Someone who takes routine work seriously – accuracy in invoicing, reconciliations, payruns.
- Curious, proactive mindset – asks questions, looks for improvements.
- Solid communication skills – comfortable asking for help and explaining clearly.
- Basic grounding in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Some familiarity with finance/accounting principles.
- Openness to working with AI tools (Claude, Notion).
- Team-first attitude – humble, hungry, ready to get stuck in.
