About The Role

This is a part-time (21 hours per week), fixed term role until 31st December 2026. The primary aim of the Student Records Assistant will be to maintain accurate data, be responsible for recording change of student statuses, personal data and module selection records and validating data using the University’s student database and software systems. An essential element of the role is the ability to maintain and monitor the University student database records used for statutory returns, planning and quality information and to support the University’s business, teaching and learning activities.

Reporting to the Student Records Officer, the post-holder will also work closely with Faculty staff across the University and colleagues in other Professional Services departments and expected to provide specialist administration services to students and staff as necessary. Applicants must be self-motivated, proactive, organised and demonstrate the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and be able to respect a high level of confidentiality.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
