Step into an Exciting Healthcare Career
Start September 2026 / Earn While You Learn
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our supportive and innovative podiatry team as a full-time Podiatry Degree Apprentice.
If you are looking for a career in healthcare, this is your chance to earn a salary, gain hands-on experience, and build a career that changes lives.
Train to become a qualified Podiatrist with Suffolk Podiatry (part of [Employer hidden]), while studying for a fully funded BSc (Hons) Podiatry Degree with the University of East London.
This exciting 4-year full-time apprenticeship combines university study with work-based learning, helping you develop the knowledge, skills, behaviours and confidence to become a future HCPC-registered podiatrist.
What is the role?
Podiatrists are specialists in foot, ankle and lower limb health, helping people stay mobile, active, independent and pain-free. From treating foot pain to supporting people with long-term conditions, you'll make a real difference every day.
As a Podiatry Apprentice, you will:
- Work alongside experienced podiatrists
- Learn to assess, treat and prevent lower limb conditions
- Support patients of all ages
- Develop practical clinical and professional skills
- Combine university learning with real-world healthcare experience
What's included:
- Earn while you train
- No tuition fees
- 60% workplace learning / 40% university and off-the-job study
- Patient experience from day one
- Clinical placements
- Work towards HCPC registration upon qualification
You'll join our Suffolk Podiatry Team as part of [Employer hidden] CIC. We are a not-for-profit, community interest company and our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk, including support with working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes, as well as Urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.
Is it for me?
We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.
This opportunity could be perfect if you are:
- Interested in healthcare or science
- Looking for a practical, hands-on career
- Motivated and ready to study at degree level
- Passionate about helping people
- Ready to build a healthcare career with purpose
You will need a high level of commitment to successfully balance degree-level study, workplace learning and patient care responsibilities alongside everyday life.
As part of your application, you may upload a CV. We encourage you to include one, as it can help you highlight your studies, work experience, volunteering or any relevant skills and interests.
Entry Requirements
To apply, you'll need to meet the University of East London's entry requirements for the BSc (Hons) Podiatry Degree Apprenticeship.
Essential requirements include:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C (or Level 2 Functional Skills) with certificates
- Successful completion of the selection process, including interview and assessments
If you are currently studying and awaiting your final results, we would still encourage you to apply if your predicted grades suggest you are likely to meet the entry requirements.
