Salary: £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per annum (DOE)

Location and Reporting
Location: The location for this role will be in the Ilkeston office although nationwide works will be required. You are to report to your line manager situated in Ilkeston office. You will also be required to work nights, some weekends and to work away from home as per the business needs of the company.

Main Objectives
As a Manager, your primary focus will be to lead and manage site-based operations within the Repair & Maintenance team, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery across varied work scopes nationwide. This hands-on leadership role requires technical proficiency, organisational capability and the ability to work flexibly and independently on sites throughout the UK.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and manage nationwide site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards
- Oversee resource planning and allocation, including labour, subcontractors, equipment and materials across multiple sites
- Manage subcontractor performance, including selection, onboarding, compliance and ongoing performance review
- Own client relationships at project level, acting as the primary escalation point and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Provide leadership and direction to site teams and supervisors, setting expectations, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement
- Ensure effective project planning, logistics, and reporting, including progress tracking, risk management and issue resolution
- Drive compliance with health & safety, regulatory, and quality standards, embedding a strong safety culture across all operations
- Monitor project performance and financials, including cost control, margins and efficiency improvements
- Identify and implement operational improvements, enhancing productivity, quality and delivery consistency
- Support business growth, contributing to tendering, project mobilisation and capability development where required
Person Specification
Experience and Qualifications
Education: No specific degree required; practical and vocational training strongly valued.
Professional Accreditation: Ideally holds relevant site safety or access certifications (e.g., PTS, IRATA, CSCS, SSSTS, PASMA, IPAF).
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar hands-on role within construction, infrastructure or specialist access environments.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with digital reporting tools, email and scheduling software is desirable. Practical familiarity with rope access or mobile access systems advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
Analytical and Organisational Skills: Strong organisational ability to coordinate logistics and manage site teams; ability to assess on-site challenges and provide effective solutions; detail-oriented in managing compliance and reporting.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients, team members and subcontractors; confident in delivering updates and reports to project stakeholders.
Negotiation and Vendor Management: Proven experience leading or supervising teams in dynamic site environments; ability to motivate and guide team members towards project goals.
Project Management: Capable of independently managing smaller site projects or work scopes; effective at balancing travel, on-site tasks and reporting responsibilities.
IT Proficiency: Proficient in basic digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, digital forms); experience using reporting and scheduling systems beneficial.
Other Requirements
Location Flexibility: Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home as required by project demands.
Continuous Professional Development: Commitment to maintaining certifications and staying current with industry practices and safety standards.
