Tutor for English Summer Pre-sessional Courses
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group is seeking an experienced Tutor for English Summer Pre-sessional Courses at the Bath International [Employer hidden] Centre. This is a part-time, fixed-term role from June to September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality academic English instruction, assess student progress, and contribute to a dynamic learning environment.
About the Role
Teaching responsibilities include general and subject-specific academic writing, reading, listening, speaking, presentation skills, academic English, formative/summative assessments, and [Employer hidden] skills. The tutor will prepare materials (paper-based and digital), provide feedback, and engage with quality monitoring processes. Additional duties involve assessment (including oral exams, coursework, tests), participation in programme boards, course evaluation, and administrative tasks such as invigilation and staff meetings.
About You
- Undergraduate degree and CELTA or Trinity Certificate in TESOL (essential)
- Postgraduate degree or diploma in English Language Teaching (e.g., MA Applied Linguistics, DELTA, PGCE) (desirable)
- Proven knowledge and experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes at university level (essential)
- Experience teaching English to non-native speakers
- Experience teaching on university pre-sessional English courses
- Delivering online teaching sessions using MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Experience in student assessment
