Senior Carer

The role involves providing high-quality care to residents, including personal care, medication administration, care planning, and team supervision.

About the Role

As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will provide compassionate care to older people, including those living with dementia, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued.

  • Passionate and dedicated to providing care with a commitment to resident empowerment
  • Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the care team
  • Following care plans, contributing to individualized care, keeping accurate records
  • Administering and recording medication and completing care plans
  • Ability to supervise a team and carry out risk assessments
  • Good understanding of policies, procedures and care plans
  • Ensure safety and security of residents and staff
  • Organised individual with strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills with critical thinking and sound decision-making
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents

Requirements

  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy care environment
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care
  • The right to work in the UK

Qualifications

  • Good written and spoken English communication skills
  • A Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desired
  • Basic IT skills
  • Qualified and experienced Carer with a minimum of 2+ years in a care setting and as a 'Senior Care Assistant'
