Role
[Employer hidden] Fundamentals delivers comprehensive financial data for informed credit decisions, covering reported and standardised financials, KPIs, tear sheets, and complex capital structures for more than 3,000 corporates globally across both publicly listed and privately held companies. Our dataset encompasses corporates across the sub-investment-grade liquid credit and private credit universe.
We are looking for a Data & Analytics Analyst to join our Fundamentals EMEA team. The successful candidate will play a central role in building and maintaining market-wide datasets that enable our subscribers – professionals across hedge funds, investment banks, and management consulting firms – to benchmark issuers across sectors, regions, instrument types, and company sizes. The role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, data engineering, and product development.
This is a hands-on, high-impact position offering direct exposure to how leading credit market participants use data in their workflows, with meaningful opportunities to shape how our products evolve.
Responsibilities
- Own and regularly update the Market Data file, maintaining accuracy and completeness of aggregated metrics across [Employer hidden]'s non-investment-grade liquid credit coverage universe
- Launch a similar Market Data file for the private credit universe
- Respond to ad-hoc client data requests, running custom analyses and extracts to meet specific benchmarking or screening needs
- Develop and enhance the financial data quality control framework
- Collaborate with the Fundamentals financials and capital structure analyst teams to resolve data discrepancies
- Support internal and external mapping exercises
- Identify, design, and implement automation solutions to streamline repetitive data operations
- Leverage AI tools and large language models to enhance data extraction, classification, and analysis pipelines
- Build and maintain dashboards and query templates
- Assist the Fundamentals analyst teams with ad-hoc internal data requests
- Develop a deep understanding of how [Employer hidden] clients use the platform
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a data analytics, financial data, or credit research role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards
- Familiarity with credit instruments and credit market dynamics
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, Power Query
- Proficiency in Python and/or SQL for data manipulation
- Experience with Microsoft automation and visualisation tools: Power Automate, Power BI
- Working knowledge of AI tools and large language models
