FULL DESCRIPTION

Domestic Assistant

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group is hiring a Domestic Assistant for Stocks Hall Andrew Smith House in Nelson. Position is part-time, 24 hours per week with weekend work. Starting salary £12.21 per hour with enhanced rates for weekends.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
  • Ensure that all areas are tidy and well-organised, including communal spaces and private rooms.
  • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when restocking is necessary.
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for all individuals.

Experience

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
