Nurse Specialist/AHP Liver Health Checks - Thames Valley (F/T 1 Year)
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Band 7 Nurse/AHP for liver health checks. This is a fixed-term full-time role based in Reading, covering clinics across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Milton Keynes.
Job Summary
The post-holder is an experienced Nurse/AHP who, acting within their professional boundaries, participates in the treatment and management of liver disease. You will demonstrate robust, contemporary knowledge of liver disease management and have understanding and experience of conducting research. Based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, the post-holder will work independently in satellite services across the county after demonstrating competence.
Main Duties
- Deliver the Liver Health (HCC) project as part of the ODN team
- Work across Oxford, Buckinghamshire, and Milton Keynes with partner organisations
- Ensure correct patient pathways and identify at-risk patients
- Deliver a community FibroScan Service with onward referral and monitoring
- Increase early detection of liver cancer to meet 75% diagnosis target by 2028
