This post is based at Windsor Dialysis, 1 Maidenhead Road, Old Ambulance Station, Windsor, SL4 5EY - and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary. An exciting opportunity for a Renal Patient Transport Driver (Band 2) has come up to work in the Windsor Haemodialysis Unit, a 24 bedded satellite unit of the Royal Berkshire Hospital Foundation Trust. The post involves driving vehicles to transport the users of the Trust's Haemodialysis Satellite Unit in Windsor safely to and from their place of residence, and to follow pre-determined schedules and organise routes. The unit is open Monday to Saturday with no night duty; you will be expected to cover all 3 shifts starting from 06:00 till 12:30 midnight. Informal visits to the unit are highly recommended prior to shortlisting.

Main Duties

  • Transport patients to and from their homes in a safe and professional manner.
  • Undertake driving duties of all types of vehicles to required standards, ensuring patient comfort and compliance with Road Traffic Act and DVLA regulations.
  • Complete mandatory driver-related training and keep up to date with regulations.
