EPSRC Undergraduate Vacation Internships Summer 2026 - Dynamic and Accessible Visualisation of Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design's research projects

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] (RCA) is offering an EPSRC-funded undergraduate vacation internship at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design. The role is based at the Battersea campus in London, United Kingdom, and runs full-time for up to ten weeks in Summer 2026. Payment is at the National Living Wage. This internship provides a taster of research in a university setting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will join the research project team and will be supervised to develop skills and experience in: planning and conducting research investigations and methods, scientific review and data analysis, presenting outcomes of research to different audiences, and involvement in meetings and discussions about the research.

Skills and Experience

  • Essential:
    • Studying towards a degree in an EPSRC remit related subject
    • Evidence of ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Good level of digital literacy and proficient in productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google for Work)
    • Good understanding of information security best practice and data protection principles
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to adapt, use initiative, multi-task and work as part of a team
  • Desirable:
    • Enthusiasm to work on EPSRC projects
    • Experience of research methods and data analysis
