Job Description
We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Financial Analyst. This is a key position within the Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing financial business partnering and management accounting support across Academic Departments and Professional Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing financial business partnering support, advice and analysis for Academic Departments and Professional Services budget holders and their teams
- Delivering accurate and timely month end / year end processes and reporting, including responses to auditor queries
- Contributing to budgeting & forecasting activities and working with stakeholders to meet the requirements of the University's annual planning and quarterly forecasting cycles
- Managing the team's shared mailbox, completing workflow tasks and maintaining financial master data
- Supporting completion of regulatory and statutory returns as required
- Actively participating in continuous improvement
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a financial qualification or equivalent and a proven track record in a management accounting, finance business partnering or similar environment. An understanding of accounting in a University context would be desirable however is not essential. Excellent accounting, organisational, analytical and IT skills are a must in addition to bringing a positive, collaborative approach.
