Job Summary
Applications are invited for a 12-month Clinical Fellowship post within the Cambridge Centre for Lung Infection, which comprises the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, The Lung Defence Clinic and The Respiratory Immunology Clinic at Royal Papworth Hospital. The post is open to internal medicine trainees or specialist trainees in respiratory medicine (or following completion of a Respiratory Medicine training programme) and is ideal for respiratory trainees with an interest in bronchiectasis, lung infections (including fungal and non-tuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease), adult cystic fibrosis medicine and respiratory immunology.

Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
- Participate in the work-up and investigation of newly referred patients; develop the ability to formulate an appropriate management plan for both routine and emergency care of fungal, non-tuberculous and complex bacterial lung infections by taking part in specialist clinics.
- Participate in providing inpatient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Opportunity to participate in joint respiratory-immunology clinic and immunology MDT.
- Present and participate in CF and radiology/microbiology MDT discussions.
- The post-holder will be encouraged and supported to take part in clinical research and quality improvement activities.
- Provide continuity of care and cross cover of SpR duties when one of the CCLI SpR is away.
- The post holder will function as part of the multi-disciplinary team. There may be an opportunity to take part in the on-call rota for the Respiratory services or the Hospital-at-night team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: MBBS or equivalent qualification, MRCP, Attendance at relevant courses.
Experience
Essential: Experience/training in internal medicine, shows critical and enquiring approach, audit/research awareness, effective team working, time management, current GMC registration, good clinical judgement.
Desirable: Specialist respiratory training (SpR level), interest in lung infection, academic achievements, audit participation, teaching, management skills.
