Trade Marketing Activation Manager

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Trade Marketing Activation Manager in London. This is a hybrid, full-time, mid-senior level role in the Sales & Marketing category.

Role Summary

The Trade Marketing Activation Manager is a vital member of our Trade Marketing team within the wider Commercial group at [Employer hidden]. The role involves activating supplier campaigns, negotiating terms, and driving sales performance across retail shops, coffee and bakery units, pubs and bars, and franchise operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with Suppliers and key trade partners
  • Collaborate with sales channel teams to execute Trade Marketing activations
  • Create Activation Plans, manage POS materials and allocations, and create SharePoint posts
  • Own and maintain the TM Asset Matrix, Supplier Media Pack and Cutter Guides & Spec pack
  • Own all TM aspects of Safety Culture and drive unit Activation Compliance
  • Analyse sales data, market trends and competitor activities
  • Work with Procurement and Finance on supplier negotiations and invoicing
  • Track and forecast annual TM income for suppliers
  • Input into annual TM budget development proposal
  • Support organisation of the annual Supplier Conference

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in Commercial, Buying or Marketing role with operational understanding
  • Supplier relationship building and development skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate internally and externally
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales drivers
  • Ability to spot opportunities and turn them into profitable activities
  • Project management skills for multiple workstreams
  • Fact-based analysis and decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of operational reality in units
  • Exceptional attention to detail
