Job Description

[Employer hidden] is looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team. The role is 20 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks. You will be part of the busy catering team serving pupils, staff, and visitors across multiple outlets including the nursery, pre-prep, main dining room, and on-site café.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service - Assist with simple food items, serve meals, replenish counters, handle deliveries.
Multi-Site Catering Support - Work flexibly across all on-site outlets.
Kitchen, Cleaning & Hygiene - Maintain clean environment, washing up, follow HACCP.
Customer Service - Welcoming service, manage allergen info.
Till Cover & Café Operations - Operate cashless tills, prepare café items.
Operational Support - Set-up/clear-down for events.

Person Specification

Essential: Basic food hygiene knowledge, cashless till confidence, teamwork, communication, reliability, flexibility.
Desirable: Previous catering/hospitality experience, EPOS experience, Food Hygiene Certificate, school experience.
