Location: Sheffield (3 days per week in the office)
Salary/Rate: Up to £402 per day inside IR35
Work Type: Contract - 6 months initially

Company Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of TRCB (Technology Risk and Control Book of Work) and Operational Resilience Lead. The candidate will be responsible for aligning the approach for the whole of Group Functions Technology for one of the highest priority programmes of work, aimed at improving the resilience of the IT systems, whilst driving adherence to our technology controls and making us more resilient to cyber threats. It will require the individual to coordinate activities across each of the Group Functions Technology business areas, enabling visibility of TRCB tasks and progress at Global, Business and Regional levels. The candidate should have experience of Controls reporting, be comfortable performing deep-level analysis, presenting to varied stakeholders and influencing the right outcomes for the group. They should also be able to lead a virtual team of colleagues to drive continual progress.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

  • Help to drive convergence of the working practices, tools and metrics in managing TRCB for Group Functions Technology.
  • Leading a virtual community of theme and business line leads to ensure all TRCB tasks are tracked and completed.
  • Escalate any off-track items and formulate a path to green where necessary.
  • Complete reporting on a monthly basis, with PTA identified and supporting commentary for RCMM (Risk and Control Management Meeting)
  • Be responsible for interlock conversations with central theme leads as required.
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Work in partnership with Group Functions Technology CCO team, for transition to BAU.
  • Provide Senior Management with updates on any relevant successes or concerns, including as part of RCMMpresentation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across CCO Tech to proactively identify and resolve challenges to the delivery of TRCB objectives.
  • Embed risk culture and change delivery capability across the Group Functions Technology function.
  • Implement an entity and regional view of the TRCB status and metric compliance.
  • Lead the Operational Resilience Working Group, delivering reporting and strategy for Group Functions Technology

Required Skills/Experience

  • You'll need experience tracking and reporting, writing executive summary papers and working with all levels of teams and Senior Management.
  • Direct experience of the Technology Risk and Control Book of work, Operational Resilience metrics.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships across Tech including CCO, 2Lod and 3Lod communities.
  • Have experience of Controls aggregation tooling.
  • Strong leadership background with a proven track-record of managing wide range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Broad understanding of Non-Financial Risk framework.
  • Proven experience in a risk/audit, control or Operational Resilience related role.
  • Proven track record of increasing business performance i.e. developing, aligning and translating strategies & plans to achieve business and functional goals.
  • Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis
  • Proven project management experience with an ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience in writing and presenting meeting papers
  • Previous background of working in a matrix organization structure; ability to persuade individuals at different levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure and build and maintain regional team relationships
