Demolition Site Manager

Location: North Wales | Work Type: Contract | Salary: £60-61/hour | Posted: 4 days ago

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Demolition Site Manager / Client Representative to take a leading role on a high-profile decommissioning project at one of the UK's most significant former energy sites.

This is not a standard site role - this is a chance to step into a critical client-side position, acting as the eyes, ears, and decision-maker on a complex demolition programme.

  • Start: May 2026
  • Rate: £60/hr (Inside IR35)
  • Duration: Until 18/12/2026
  • Hours: Mon-Fri
  • Location: North Wales. Fully site-based.

Project Insight

This is a decommissioned power station that has been inactive for several years and is now undergoing full mechanical demolition. While major systems are no longer operational, the site still presents complex legacy challenges, including residual infrastructure, waste materials, and potential unknown ground conditions and contamination risks.

You will be working within a highly regulated environment delivered by one of Europe's largest industrial energy organisations.

Your Impact

  • Safe and controlled demolition execution
  • Strong contractor performance and compliance
  • Environmental and contamination risk management
  • Waste and materials control strategy delivery
  • Protection of surrounding communities and assets
  • High-quality demolition standards across all works

What You'll Need

  • Strong demolition / heavy industrial site management experience
  • NEBOSH (essential)
  • Experience in petrochemical / regulated environments
  • Ability to operate in both safety and site delivery capacity
  • Confident decision-maker on live high-risk sites
  • Strong team collaboration skills
