Insurance Trading Manager

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an Insurance Trading Manager to drive trading performance across all insurance products. This remote role involves reviewing trading results, identifying opportunities, and working cross-functionally to achieve profit and volume growth targets.

Role Responsibility

  • Supporting the Trading mission to profitably grow our trading performance through continuous insight and action.
  • Working with Marketing, Pricing, Product, Operations and other key stakeholders to drive the trading agenda.
  • Driving weekly trading sessions and monitoring performance vs. expectation.
  • Spotting and generating risks and opportunity trends.
  • Balancing and acting on risks and opportunities for both short and long term value.
  • Creating value assessments to support prioritisation.
  • Proposing and executing action to generate business value.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge or experience of UK personal lines insurance (Motor, Home, PMI or Travel) desirable.
  • Experience of working across multiple teams ideal but not essential.
  • Ability to identify and propose action to key trends.
  • Ability to communicate trends simply, and drive implementable solutions.
  • Effective matrix manager, collaborator, simple business cases, ability to swiftly understand and compare many data points throughout the P&L.
  • Technical skills: PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau, UK Personal Lines Insurance Knowledge preferable.
