Job Introduction
Risk Manager (Travel) – Salary £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Folkestone Hybrid. [Employer hidden]’s Group Risk function partners with the Travel Business spanning Ocean and River Cruise, and Holidays. Reporting into the Head of Risk, you’ll act as a key member of the Group Risk function. This role requires working from our Folkestone office a minimum of 3 times a week, with ad hoc travel to London, Crawley & Southampton.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with Travel Business to ensure understanding of risk management.
- Support annual refresh of Risk Strategy and plan.
- Review Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
- Support Travel Executive team on control effectiveness under Provision 29.
- Facilitate cascade of Group risk appetite statements.
- Oversight of Travel incidents.
- Develop risk management policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management.
- Provide challenge on key projects and emerging risks.
- Deliver 2nd Line assurance plan.
The Ideal Candidate
As our Risk Manager, you will bring strong understanding of the travel industry and risk management frameworks. Desirable qualifications include Lead ISM auditor or knowledge of Package Travel Regulations. Experience in third-party risk management, stakeholder management, and a proven track record of working with senior stakeholders.
