Job Introduction

A great opportunity to join an award-winning specialist Travel Business within [Employer hidden] Plc. Here at [Employer hidden] Travel Group, we organise an array of overseas products for our customers; Hosted Hotel Stays, Group Tours plus Tailor-Made Holidays.

Our Finance Operation is fast paced with high volume transactions. We need a seasoned technical Finance Analyst to join our growing team. The transactional day to day processing team is based overseas. Allowing the UK team to be more focussed on analysis and reporting. The team is made up of an AP and AR Manager, with and AR Assistant responsible for trade statements and debt chasing as well as inputting remittances.

You’ll work closely with the Finance Managers and our Head of Operational Finance to monitor and correct the balance sheet, identify margin leakages and identify areas in the reporting process that need improvements.

This role is Hybrid working, your main working hub will be Ashford, Kent. Occasionally you may be asked to visit the London or Crawley office. You will need to be within reasonable commuting distance to our Ashford Hub. Free Car Parking on site.

Role Responsibility

  • Providing analysis to management on month and YTD
  • Liaising with other teams across the business to ensure supplier reclaims are complete and correct
  • Work closely with our Customer Service department to monitor supplier reclaims or refunds
  • Continuously monitor margin reports and how any changes are making an impact
  • Checking for duplicate invoices or anomalies
  • Continuously monitor the cancellations and reporting
  • Full analysis of the aged debt report
  • Monitoring and reviewing the reports from our card transaction provider
  • Supporting AR function in the team when required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have previously worked as a Finance Analyst across a large transactional operation, ideally within a Travel Business
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with peers and to senior management
  • Able to facilitate change in a business operation
  • Expert knowledge on excel
  • A critical thinker and able to analyse financial data and balance sheets
  • Can demonstrate Business Partnering skills
  • Can learn and understand travel reporting regulations
