Our Data team are expanding rapidly, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join as an Analyst Modeller as our Data Science Team make predictions to improve business performance using the next best data science tools.

Reporting to the Head of Data Science you will be responsible for delivering customer and commercial value through analysis, propensity modelling, standard and non-standard reporting, and delivering actionable insight using data science methodology and tools.

You will be an advanced analyst with a mathematical and statistical mindset, who can clearly break down, communicate and present complex concepts to others across the business in an easy to understand way. Role Responsibility

  • Proactivity organise and connect datasets and use Data Science techniques and tools to produce predictive models to discover patters, deliver actionable insight, and make predictions to improve business performance
  • Ensure Data Science projects are sense-checked to be cost-effective to execute and operationalise
  • Creation and interpretation of relevant analyses to inform the company’s business decisions, including marketing effectiveness and cost-efficiency
  • Produce MI and summarise analysis findings
  • Assist in the implementation, development and optimisation of the Groups’ customer contract strategy
  • Produce and develop forecasting models to improve accuracy, stability and reliability of our predictions
  • Identify new opportunities to improve business performance
  • Work with other Commercial, Data & Pricing teams to share data and findings
  • Help optimise processes, for example, automation of existing manual processes
  • Continually looking for innovative ways to make improvements based on the latest trends and research
  • Networking to stay connected with business trends and changes
  • Effectively managing stakeholders and external providers
  • Managing multiple complex projects concurrently, tracking progress and success

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong programming and query knowledge (particularly SQL)
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using cloud based analytical tools, e.g. Snowflake
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools, e.g. Tableau
  • Experience using Adobe/Google analytics is desirable
  • Strong mathematical & statistical modelling capability
  • MS Azure data storage knowledge
  • Experience presenting solutions to large groups of people with varied knowledge and understanding
  • Experience working to tight timelines in a project environment, able to prioritise
  • Excellent track record in delivering change and completing projects

Education and Qualifications:

  • Good secondary education
  • Degree calibre is desirable and/or previous experience
