Automation Manager

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an Automation Manager to lead the operational automation and robotics agenda within the Insurance business. This role involves strategizing RPA delivery, managing UiPath relationships, leading a team, and driving process improvements in a hybrid working environment based in Folkestone.

We work in a hybrid way at [Employer hidden] both at home and in the office. Your main office will be situated in Folkestone, where you be required for regular visits as well as occasional visits to London.

Role Responsibility

In this newly created role, you will partner with senior management to drive effective process improvements underpinned by robust, scalable, technology.

  • Managing all aspects of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) strategy and delivery
  • Creating and managing all RPA processes and governance; opportunity identification, specifications gathering, development, testing and maintenance
  • Owning and developing the relationship between [Employer hidden] and our technology provider, UiPath, including commercial negotiations.
  • Remaining up to date on emerging technology, functionality and trends ensuring this is translated into the benefit we could see within [Employer hidden]. Where appropriate lead pilots and create business cases
  • Managing and monitoring risks and performance affectively to ensure no failures in performance which could result in significant detriment to the [Employer hidden] business
  • Line manage the automation team ensuring they’re supported and effectively challenged to develop personally and deliver the best outcomes
  • Creating an operating environment and culture where staff are motivated and appropriately empowered to consistently deliver high performance standard whilst retaining our [Employer hidden] values

The Ideal Candidate

As our new Automation Manager you will have experience leading the strategy and delivery of Robotic Process Automation.

Proven experience in the Insurance sector would be advantageous, but we are open to considering candidates from the wider Financial Services industry with a full awareness of working within regulations.

  • Experience of change management and leading an agile mindset.
  • Extensive experience in creating robust, waste free, processes.
  • Experience of leading teams and projects with precision and pace.
  • Experience of hyper automation with a key focus on Robotics.
