Actuarial Analyst

Job Introduction

[Employer hidden]'s in-house underwriting business, AICL, is at a key point in its growth plan. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will contribute to building, managing, and improving regular processes using specialist actuarial software packages. Reporting to the Reserving Actuary, you will work with a team of 7 and gain exposure to claims reserving, capital modelling, and reinsurance evaluation. Study support is available for the successful applicant.

Role Responsibility

  • Contributing to the yearly reinsurance program renewal process
  • Identifying, explaining and monitoring experience trends
  • Contributing to Solvency II requirements (QRTs, ORSA, SFCR, RSR, AFR) and regular reserving exercises
  • Adhering to Technical and Actuarial practice standards (TAS and APS)
  • Adhering to governance processes for financial reporting
  • Maintaining transparency and documentation of actuarial processes
  • Collaborating with legal and DPO for GDPR compliance
  • Preparing claims and policy data for market benchmarking

The Ideal Candidate

Behaviours & Traits: Excellent communication, proactive, dependable, team-oriented.

Technical Skills: Strong numerical and statistical capabilities, comfortable with large data sets, experience in ResQ and SQL is a plus.
