FULL DESCRIPTION

Scrum Master

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Scrum Master to work in their Technology part of the business. Remote/home working allowed. Full Time, Folkestone. Salary up to £40,000.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the provision of leadership, management, direction and enthusiasm in own scrum team and the wider scrum community as well as alongside other areas of the business.
  • Ensure resources allocated to the scrum team are utilised optimally, contribute meaningfully and that any skills or capacity issues are resolved either within the scrum team or across the broader change delivery unit.
  • Facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
  • Ensure any blockers / issues for the scrum team are highlighted and support their resolution through working with the wider scrum community and in liaison with VMO, Programme Management and Scrum Masters.
  • Assist Product Owner with managing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring all information is obtained ready for the next sprint.

  • Project Management Knowledge (including Agile methodologies/approaches).
  • Proven Stakeholder Management, Negotiation and Communication skills.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, Visio.
  • Experience applying Scrum principles and practices (example: Burndown techniques, Planning, Retrospective formats, Backlog tracking and management, velocity, and task definition).
  • Understand fundamentals of iterative development.
  • Must be able to facilitate workshops and discussion to identify alternative approaches to resolve conflicts.
  • Experience in use of Agile tools e.g. Rally, JIRA, Version1 etc.
