Bank Housekeeper
Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is looking for a dedicated and motivated Housekeeper/Cleaner to join the housekeeping team on a bank contract. This bank role works on an “as and when required” basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for annual leave or absence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete cleaning schedules related to the shift, ensuring rooms are ready set to the correct layout as needed
- Cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, offices, public areas, sterile services department and public toilets within the hospital
- Work in close liaison with clinical staff dealing with the varying needs of the hospital
- Compliance with all Health and Safety at Work Regulations including COSHH
- Carry out any other duties that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality and/or housekeeping is desirable
- No formal qualifications are required; full training will be provided
- Good knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with staff and patients in a professional manner
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of working on own initiative with a methodical approach to work
- Flexible to work various shift patterns (early mornings, days, and evenings) and days across Monday-Sunday
Working Hours & Contract
Working Hours: The department operates from 6am to 10pm. You will work 7.5 hour shifts between those times. Potential night shifts available. Contract: Bank 0 hours on a flexible basis – ideally available up to 2 days per week.
