As a Senior Technical Security Architect you will be an integral member of a small IT Security team responsible for the day-to-day operation of Spire's security infrastructure. You will help design, implement, monitor and support our IT security systems, working on a mix of BAU and project-based work including Microsoft M365 and Azure security projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect security improvement solutions and technically lead their implementation.
- Working closely with the other IT architecture teams to develop secure solutions based on Spire's guiding security principles.
- Gaining and maintaining a working knowledge of the Company's Portfolio of Security Products and Services.
- Providing 'soft' consultancy skills and proactive mentoring support.
- Working with the wider information security team to design and implement critical security controls aligned to ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Administering security policies to Spire's Microsoft 365 environment (SharePoint, Exchange, Intune MDM).
- Working with the IT Security Team to administer security policies to endpoints (MS Defender, EDR, Purview).
- Member of the Incident Response team in partnership with an externally managed SOC.
Key Requirements
Qualifications and Training:
- ITIL qualified
- Recognised IT or Information Security qualifications (CISSP, CISM, SANS, ISO27001, CCSP, etc.) desirable.
Experience:
- Extensive experience within the IT sector
- Experience of developing and implementing Enterprise Security Strategy
- Design and implementation of security solutions in multi-supplier/multi-platform environments
- Strong experience in a similar IT Security role including SIEM, Antivirus, DLP, Firewalls, Cloud security (Azure), IDAM, EDR, vulnerability tools
- Windows Server & Networking knowledge
- Ability to design secure network and manage incident response
