Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) - Full Remote

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our fully remote R&D team. We are one of the top 15 largest AI companies, with 50 million users, building the world's largest AI companionship platform.

Your Role

Reporting to the Tech Lead, you will:

  • Interact with the Product Manager to review project specs
  • Prepare integration plans, breakdowns, and estimations
  • Hands-on code implementation, PRs, code reviews, testing

You'll work with Michael (CTO), the product team, and engineering team (web developers, SRE, data scientists).

  • Ruby, Ruby on Rails (latest)
  • PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Hotwire (Turbo & Stimulus)
  • Tailwind CSS

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years as a back-end or full-stack software engineer in tech scale-ups
  • Experience on large-scale products used by thousands monthly
  • Strong communication & collaborative skills (fluent English)
  • Ownership and commitment
  • Doer mindset - balance craftsmanship and velocity
  • User-centricity
  • Comfortable with NSFW content (uncensored models)

Bonus: Experience in data science/generative AI, globally distributed teams.
