Bank Security Liaison Officer

We are St Andrew's — a mental health charity with a clear purpose: to inspire hope for people living with complex mental health needs. Our Birmingham site is on an ambitious improvement journey. As we continue to evolve, we are looking for a professional, calm, and proactive Bank Security Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a visible security presence across the site
Monitor and respond to incidents, ensuring safety procedures are followed
Support staff in managing challenging situations, using de-escalation where appropriate
Communicate clearly with patients, staff and visitors
Conduct regular patrols and security checks
Escorting visitors and contractors around the site
Ensure compliance with health and safety and security policies

Requirements

Previous experience in security, healthcare or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Good understanding of safety, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Respectful, patient, non-judgemental and empathic approach when working in a mental health environment
