Precast Civil Engineer
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Precast Civil Engineer to oversee technical aspects of precast concrete operations for rail and infrastructure projects. The role reports to the Managing Director.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform structural calculations for precast concrete elements.
- Design connections, handling points, and transportation methods.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bar bending schedules.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams.
- Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in reinforced concrete and steel design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Tekla, and Excel.
- ICE Chartered status advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
- IOSH safety training.
