As well as building leading software solutions, our customer engagements include designing and building business-critical data solutions. The volume of data work is now at a point where we need to establish a standalone Data Practice. We are looking for an experienced Data leader to join our team and help shape our practice and continue to grow it, taking it to the next level. As Data Practice lead, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, growth and delivery of our data-related services. We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, growth mindset, natural curiosity and a bias for action. We want you to be an integral part of our growth journey.

Responsibilities include

  • Pre-sales Support: Work with our sales and customer teams to understand customer needs, define engagements and proposals, and ultimately help win new work.
  • Leadership: Leading and building a team of data specialists, establishing best practices and driving a culture of innovation.
  • Customer Engagements: Act as a strategic advisor to customers. Helping them shape data solutions, develop strategies and roadmaps and ultimately deliver value.
  • IP & Frameworks: Develop internal playbooks and repeatable methods, and work with colleagues to build accelerators.

Experience that would help

  • Data Consulting: 5+ years of experience in data consulting or a related data role (e.g. Data Science or User-Focused Data Engineering).
  • Worked in a data consultancy: 2+ years of experience in a company with strong data consulting services.
  • End-to-end delivery: Experience driving the full data lifecycle, from strategy and design to leading software and data teams through scale-out and delivery.
  • Data experience: Deep knowledge and experience in areas such as Data Strategy, Data Platform, Data Engineering (ETL, Data Warehouse), Traditional Data Science (AI/ML), Data Governance and Cloud Technologies (Azure, GCP or AWS).

Nice to have experience would include

  • Experience of Databricks: Experience in designing and building Databricks solutions.
  • Human-Centred Design: Expertise in creating intuitive "human-in-the-loop" experiences and data interfaces that use natural language.

What you’ll get in return is:

  • 25 days’ annual leave, rising incrementally to 30 days after six years of service.
  • Generous family leave policies.
  • Access to an employer pension scheme and Group Life Assurance.
  • A range of optional benefits such as discounted gym membership and a cycle-to-work scheme.
  • A meaningful approach to evaluating your performance and providing feedback on your progress.

At [Employer hidden], we value the flexibility of remote working alongside the value gained from spending time with our colleagues and clients. In our offices, you’ll find employee-led clubs and events, as well as free games, books, and refreshments. We have shared values that govern our behaviour toward others and the environment.
