FULL DESCRIPTION

Lead Agentic Software Engineer

Vacancies at: Bristol / Edinburgh / Newcastle

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Lead Agentic Software Engineer to lead small teams in adopting agentic AI development practices. The role involves technical leadership, client relationships, and shaping AI-augmented software delivery.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for passionate, proactive technologists. As a company, we are technology-agnostic and use the right language, tooling, and frameworks for the job. That means we’re open-minded when it comes to your existing skillset, but we value the following:

  • Strong technical leadership experience, understanding what makes a team successful and how to support colleagues in their own career development.
  • A background in at least one of Java, C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, and their associated ecosystems – understanding how to design and build well-structured, maintainable systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work, allowing you to build trusted relationships with clients, coach colleagues and get the job done.
  • Good awareness of the evolving state of AI tooling, and the enthusiasm to make the most of what's possible.
  • A problem-solving mindset, able to pragmatically explore options and find effective solutions.
  • Adaptability and embracing the chance to learn, experiment, and grow your experience.

What you’ll get in return is:

We offer an environment with real autonomy, alongside opportunities to broaden your knowledge, diversify your experience, and shape your career – building expertise in modern AI development tools to address business-critical work. Additionally, you will receive:

  • 25 days’ annual leave, rising incrementally to 30 days after six years of service.
  • Generous family leave policies.
  • Access to an employer pension scheme and Group Life Assurance.
  • A range of optional benefits, such as discounted gym membership and a cycle-to-work scheme.
  • A meaningful approach to evaluating your performance and providing feedback on your progress.

At [Employer hidden], we value the flexibility of remote working alongside the value gained from spending time with our colleagues and clients. In our offices, you’ll find employee-led clubs and events, as well as free games, books, and refreshments.

We have shared values that govern our behaviour toward others and the environment. We are proud to be a B Corp, a global movement of businesses driving for a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
