Research and Development Intern in Sustainable Aquaculture

About the role

A research group at SAMS is looking for an intern who has a high-level of interest in working on a science and innovation project called 'BactMetBar' to develop faster methods to measure the impact of waste from fish farms on the surrounding seabed.

You will gain training and experience in: field research techniques, specifically boat sampling at a fish farm, laboratory research techniques including particle size analysis, organic-content analysis and IQI calculations, data skills for statistical exploration and analysis using R software, and data skills for reporting using MEDIN standards.
