FULL DESCRIPTION

General Maintenance, Grounds and Stores Support Assistant (D12/23.IM)

Location: SAMS, Oban

Contract Type: Fixed Term, 26 weeks

Working Pattern: Part Time (30 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Rate of Pay: £10.90 per hour

Closing date: Friday 21st July 2023

The Role

This role is supported by funding from the Argyll & Bute UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). This role will provide practical general facilities support activities including general maintenance support, maintain site and grounds and supporting stores and vehicle areas. There may also be an opportunity to learn and assist in specific trades areas.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate must have 3 – 4 National 4/5 passes. English, Maths, Technical subjects are desirable. You will be interested in facilities or learning practical trades, and some existing practical work experience would be an advantage. You will be organised and have good communication skills, and be able to ask for help when required.

Please note, this opportunity is only open to unemployed residents of Argyll & Bute.
