Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Every minute of downtime matters - and preventing problems before they happen is just as important as fixing them. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, using your electrical and mechanical expertise to keep our plant running efficiently, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement so everything performs at its best, every day.

In this role you will:

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently
  • Support planned, preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and help reduce machine downtime
  • Work with the team to improve plant performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Accurately record all maintenance work on internal systems for KPI tracking
  • Maintain high health and safety standards at all times
  • Meet performance targets and standards set by the Engineering Supervisor

You’re someone who sees beyond fixing faults...

  • You have experience in electrical, mechanical, or technical maintenance environments
  • You understand mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • You’re organised, logical, and able to manage your time effectively
  • You bring a “can do, will do” attitude and take ownership of your work
  • You’re confident, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

The impact you will have:

You will play a vital role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and without disruption. By responding quickly to breakdowns and delivering high-quality planned and preventative maintenance, you will help minimise downtime and ensure equipment performs at its best. Your work will directly support plant efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery to our customers. Beyond day-to-day maintenance, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that make our processes smarter, safer, and more reliable - helping to shape the long-term performance of the site.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on-site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts. We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.

This role works on a three shift rotation - Early Shift (6am - 2pm) Back Shift (2pm - 10pm) and Night Shift (10pm - 6am).
