Job Description

Great organisations don’t just maintain their technology – they continuously evolve it to stay secure, efficient, and ready for what’s next. As DTX End User Support, you’ll be at the heart of our technology environment, using your technical expertise and proactive mindset to keep our systems running smoothly, support our people, and drive continuous improvement across our IT landscape.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver high-quality 2nd and 3rd line support, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and the business keeps running smoothly
  • Build, configure, and maintain end-user devices across Windows and Apple environments to support a seamless user experience
  • Support and strengthen infrastructure, including servers, virtual platforms, and cloud services
  • Manage identities and access through Active Directory and Azure Entra ID, ensuring secure and efficient user lifecycle management
  • Maintain a secure and resilient environment through cyber security controls, patching, and risk reduction activities
  • Support network performance across switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies while carrying out system monitoring and backups
  • Contribute to IT projects and continuous improvement by enhancing systems, processes, and documentation

You’re someone who looks beyond fixing issues – you understand how technology underpins performance, security, and business success, and you take pride in delivering solutions that make a real difference.

  • You have experience working across IT support, infrastructure, or operations in a hands-on role
  • You bring strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and end-user device support
  • You have experience with Active Directory and Azure Entra ID, including user and access management
  • You understand networking fundamentals, with exposure to technologies such as Cisco or Meraki
  • You have a solid grasp of IT security principles, backup, and recovery processes
  • You are a strong problem solver with a logical, methodical approach
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You are organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • You hold a relevant IT qualification (HND, degree, or equivalent experience)
  • You have a full UK driving licence and are able to travel between sites

Desirable

  • Experience with VMware or other virtualisation platforms
  • Exposure to firewalls, VPNs, or security tools
  • Experience with Azure or modern endpoint management solutions
  • Familiarity with project-based or agile ways of working
  • A genuine interest in developing deeper expertise in infrastructure, cloud, or cyber security

The impact you will have:

You will play a vital role in ensuring our IT environment is secure, reliable, and fit for the future. By supporting users, maintaining infrastructure, and strengthening our security posture, you will help enable the business to operate efficiently and confidently every day. Through your involvement in projects and continuous improvement initiatives, you will help modernise our systems, reduce risk, and create a better technology experience for everyone across the organisation.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on-site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts. We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.
