FULL DESCRIPTION
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] - Edinburgh Rugby Senior Physiotherapist
Location: Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh, EH12 5PJ
Salary: Dependent on experience
Type: Temporary, Full Time
Closing: in 7 days
The Vacancy
We are looking for a proactive physiotherapist who can think in two modes simultaneously: the instinctive clinician on the pitch and the analytical mind in the data room. As Edinburgh Rugby's Senior Physiotherapist, you will collaborate across physio, athletic performance and coaching teams, use cutting-edge objective technology to validate player readiness, and help build a research-informed culture from within.
If you are a technically excellent physiotherapist who is equally comfortable with a GPS dataset as with manual therapy, this is your opportunity to make your mark in elite sport.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering high-intensity, position-specific rehab programs in collaboration with Athletic Performance colleagues
- Maintaining the integrity of the injury surveillance database, conducting regular audits of injury patterns
- Managing acute injuries and providing trauma-ready pitch-side cover for matches and training sessions
- Support the Edinburgh Rugby Head Physio in developing and mentoring junior physiotherapists within the team
What we’re looking for:
- Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC & CSP registered) and valid Advanced Level 3 Pitch-side Trauma Certification
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in professional sport, with demonstrated expertise in performance rehabilitation and the long-term rehab cycle
- High proficiency in injury surveillance software and data visualisation tools, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for coaching colleagues
- Someone with the composure to make decisive, evidence-informed calls under match day pressure
